Fixture Installation & Repair in Chicagoland: What You Should Know
There are many reasons why your fixtures might break down, and some are more complex than others.
For example, a leaky faucet can be caused by a simple malfunctioning O-Ring in the stem screw, or it can be caused by a general issue with your home’s water pressure. And that’s just one example for one fixture in the home.
So if you need help with your fixtures, give the local Chicago plumbing experts at Parks’ Plumbing & Sewer, Inc. a call. After over forty years in the Chicagoland plumbing industry, our experienced and licensed professional plumbers have seen it all. We’ll take care of the problem and get your fixtures back up and running.
What Goes Into Fixture Installation & repair?
Inspection
This is the stage that precedes any of our installation, repair, or replacement services.
If it’s a repair, we’ll examine the fixture first to determine whether or not the problem is local to the fixture itself, or if it’s an issue that has to do with the home’s overall piping or plumbing systems.
Installation and replacement inspections can vary based on the fixture and system. For more details, please see below.
Repair
Repairing fixtures is a variable process that depends on what the issue with the fixture is determined to be.
If it’s just a problem with the fixture, the repair can be made relatively quickly. However, if the issue has to do with the home’s greater piping or plumbing systems, the repair could be more intensive and take longer to complete.
Because of how indeterminate the fixture repair process can be, it’s important to get the right plumbers for the job. A faulty repair, like a faulty installation, can end up causing more problems than it solves.
The plumbers at Parks’ Plumbing & Sewer, Inc. have been performing fixture repairs, installations, and replacements for over forty years in the Chicagoland area. With our experience and knowledge of plumbing systems,
Replacement
This can occur two ways:
Just a couple of parts in a fixture, like the chain and floater in a toilet tank, need to be taken out and replaced with new parts because of age, wear, or some other kind of breakdown.
OR
The entire fixture has somehow been damaged or compromised. Maybe the faucet has an internal malfunction that recently occurred, maybe it needs to be fully-serviced, or maybe it’s reached the end of its lifespan.
Installation
Installations happen for two reasons:
- A replacement—for either one or several parts, or the full fixture—was done.
- The fixture or system wasn’t present in the home before, and it had to be put in.
That being said, Parks’ Plumbing & Sewer plumbers are as discrete and professional as possible. Whether we’re installing a new kitchen faucet or putting in an exterior drain tile system, we take care to cause as little disturbance as possible to your home and the people who live in it.
