Having our base in Skokie, Morton Grove is almost a stone-throw away and has always been part of our service area. In fact, we have been the plumbers some of the residents have repeatedly used for almost 30 years. Over this time period we have tackled a variety of issues, including broken or frozen water lines, backed-up sewer lines, or running toilets. Whatever the challenge, however, we have always tried to solve it efficiently and fast. The local residents can definitely depend on us when they need a plumber, and we are proud of it!
The Village of Morton Grove is located about 14 miles northwest of Chicago, and has a population of about 24 thousand. The original settlement was started by English immigrants in 1830s. The community grew larger as more people settled in, and the Village incorporated in 1895. The new village was named after Levi Parsons Morton who was attributed with helping raise funds for the construction of Miller’s Mill – what is known today as the Lincoln Avenue.Just like the neighboring communities, the Village of Morton Grove really grew in 1950s when the Edens Expressway connected the growing suburbs with the city of Chicago. Nowadays, the Village of Morton Grove is a great community to live in, work in, or visit. Entertainment options are plentiful, including great parks (Cook County Forest Preserve), shopping, and more. It lies less than 10 miles from Lake Michigan, within easy reach of several shopping complexes and movie theaters, and recently, it was named “The No. 3 Best Place To Raise Your Kids in the U.S.”.
